He was predeceased by: his brother Donald Smith; and his grandson Vince Barnett. He is survived by: his daughters, Marianne Spence, Susan Barnett (Brian), Geri Wiltfong (Virgil) and Amy Hernandez (Marvin); and his former wife Marlene Smith. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
