Sheri Bickmore Obituary
Longtime Elma resident Sheri Beth Heisey Bickmore, 53, passed away at her home Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Sheri was born August 8, 1960 in Sacramento, California to David and Norma (Vincent) Heisey.
As an "Air Force Brat" she had lived in Guam, California, Minnesota, Washington, Alaska, and Missouri before moving to Elma in 1975. She had attended Elma High School, as a member of the class of '79.
Sheri married Ricky Bickmore and together they had one daughter Rebecca Bickmore Patten. They later divorced.
Sheri enjoyed life in Elma the most. Of all the places she went as an adult, she preferred her life and friends in the town of her youth. She enjoyed gardening, and had an artistic side that showed up in her boldly colored hand-painted garden rocks and "accessories". She took delight in collecting knick knacks of cows, frogs & roosters and surrounding herself with pretty things. She had a very funny sense of humor and was great at mimicking others. Sheri loved practical jokes, and she was a fun Aunt to her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her daughter and son-in-law Becky and Adam Patten of Naselle, Wa., she is also survived by her mother Norma Vincent of Port Orchard, Wash.; her father Ret. USAF Sr. Master Sgt. David I. Heisey (Pat) of Lititz, PA.; sisters, Tammy Graham (Karl) of Seattle, WA.; and Anne Young of Nashville, TN.; brother Skotty Heisey of Bremerton, WA.; grandmother Myrtle Williams of Port Orchard, WA.; her grandson "in the oven" (as Sher would say!), and lots of nephews and nieces.
A celebration of Sheri's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 26th at Northwest Life Center in Elma, where Sheri had enjoyed so many meals with her many friends.
