Christopher Charles Bates Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Charles Bates of Elma, Washington, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Charles Emerson Bates. He is survived by: his mother Mary Bates (Genz) of Pueblo, CO; his children, Maxwell Emerson Bates and Merritt Rose Bates; his brothers, Noah Emerson Bates (Alexis) of Lacy, WA and Colin; his aunts, Patsy Thorn of Carpinteria, CA and Susan Becchetti of San Carlos, CA.; and his children, Easter, Stoney and Box. He is also survived by his wife and children.

The family asks that any memorial donations be made to Maxwell Bates and Merritt Bates' future education in honor of their father. Contributions may be made by sending separate checks made out in each child's name: C/O Easter & Stoney PO Box 3037 Elma, WA 98541.
