He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie E. Eger and William Edward Trevathan. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his half-brother Michael; and his children, John, Kathleen, Suzanne and Barbara. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
