It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Downey Jr. of Ellensburg, Washington, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Kenneth C., Anne M. McDannald, Edward J. and Marjorie M. Downey. He is survived by: his parents, Michael E. Downey and Anna M. Downey; his sister Sara Downey; his niece Lizzy Albaugh; his uncle John Downey (Noel); his godparents, Dr. Patrick Brust, Brad Botta, Madelyn Botta and Brent Botta; and his close friends, Casey Burr and Ryan Anderson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ellensburg Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame and Washington State Elks Crippled Children's Fund.
