She was predeceased by: her parents, Radha Mohan Mishra and Annapurna Mishra; and her sister Rajani Mishra. She is survived by: her husband Haripada Nanda; her children, Sunita Richardson, Dr. Kabita Nanda and Sujit Nanda; her son-in-law Mychal; her grandchildren, Annapurna and Grant Richardson; and her sisters, Pradeep Mishra, Pradosh Mishra, Protush Mishra and Usha Das.
