She was predeceased by: her husband Earl E. Nehl of Watauga; her parents, Dean Scholes and Roaine Scholes (Hotham); her siblings, Donna Lewis, Hazel Staudenraus, Margery Walker, Bill and Walt Scholes; her daughter Nancy Weishaar; and her son-in-law Emo.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dorothy Hauge, Lucile Thornton, Jim and Al Scholes; her sons, Timothy (Joy), Robert (Eileen), Martin and Roy (Rhonda); her grandchildren, Ben, Max, Jenna (Paul), Claire (Rusty), Holly (Jason), Robin (Tim), Michael and Zachary; and her great grandchildren, Elara, Rowan, Phineas and Solei. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Jane's long journey began on December 16, 1919, at her grandparents' home in Armour, South Dakota just after the Spanish Influenza Pandemic ravaged the countryside.
