“What a wonderful person and teacher she was! When I was a high school freshman at Ingraham High in Seattle, a friend of mine and I found out we could take her Music Theory 1 course for college credit (this was LONG before Running Start programs). It was my first formal theory study and, partially as a result of her excellent training, when I arrived at New England Conservatory as a College Freshman, I was able to bypass all the regular underclassmen theory courses.
