He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Clara Neubauer Simpson; his brother William Hammersla; his nephews, Rick Fetrow and Bill Hammersla; his sister Jean Fetrow (Loren Noyes); his nieces, Joni Ostergaard (Will Patton) and Kathy Kieff; his former spouse Crete Hall; and his wife Joy Fisher Finkbeiner. He was also cherished by children and grandchildren.
