He was predeceased by: his wife Ayvon; his parents, Roy and Florence; and his siblings, Ann, Richard, Donald and Roy Jr..

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Lois Card; his sons, David A. Card Jr. (Sharon) and George Card; his stepdaughters, Catherine "Cat" Wilson (Bob) and Charlotte Recknagle (Tom); his granddaughters, Jessica Croote and Sierra Card; and his stepgrandson Kenneth Recknagle. He is also survived by three step-grandsons and one step-granddaughter; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.
