He was predeceased by: his father Billy Raymond Zanol; his aunt Elnor Reid; his sisters, Mary Sue Zanol, Therese Hewitt and Elizabeth Daniel; and his nephew David Steichen.
He is survived by: his mother Jacquelyn Marie Zanol (Short); his siblings, Joan Steichen, John Zanol (Jane), Thomas (Angie Greene), Andrew Zanol and Anthony Zanol (Karen O'Connor); his cousins, Gary, Terry and Bill Reid; and his pet Sage. He is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews, and twenty-eight great-nieces and nephews.
