He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Schilling and Marie Schilling; and his brothers, Don and Gene Hergert. He is survived by: his wife Violet; his son Kevin (Tina); his nieces, Sandy Bolt and Kristin Hergert; his nephew Craig Hergert; and his grandchildren, Megan Waterhouse and Mark Smith Jr..
