It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sharon Penner of Dayton, Washington, born in Spokane, Washington, who passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gordon (June Lederer) and Wash; her husband Ted Penner; her birth mother June Lederer; her stepmother Geri Lederer; her daughter Karen Doherty (Pat) of Bellevue; her granddaughter Megan Doherty of Bethesda; and also Gordon Lederer.

Following active farming retirement, Ted and Sharon refreshed their country home and enjoyed several seasons of wintering in Kona, Hawaii, before COVID shut the world down.
