He was predeceased by: his parents, Darl and Mae; his wife Shirley; his son Mark; his granddaughter Amy; his daughter-in-law Vicky; and his sisters, Polly, Darlene and Ruby.

He is survived by: his children, Charlyne, Dale Jr. (Kristina), David and Dar.
