Susan Jean Templer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Templer (Coupeville Washington), who passed away on April 6, 2021, at the age of 71 due to complications of pneumonia, leaving her family and friends to mourn. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Lewis Wake, who passed away in 1996; her mother Marion, who passed away in 2017; her brother Steven, who passed away in 2018; and her father Richard who passed away in 2019.
Susan was born in Oakland, California on September 14th, 1949. Being part of a Navy family she moved around alot as a kid, before finally settling down in Oxnard, California where she would meet her future husband Bob. Together they would raise two children, Robert Lars Wake and Tanya Marie Wake.
After her husband's passing she would follow her parents to Whidbey Isand, Washington where they had moved several years before. Eventually her children; Tanya, who had married Sean Hanson, and Robert who had married Madoka Iijima would follow her to Whidbey.Tanya and Sean gave her two wonderful grandchildren, Denver and Shelby who were the joy of her life.
Susan was a free spirit who spent the last years of her life enjoying her artwork, traveling, and being surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind, her children and grandchildren, her sister in law Ginger, Nephew Keith, Niece Sandy, great Niece Alicia and her son Remmy. Friends Deborah and Danny Jackson, Barbara Irish, Scott and Jennifer Keith, Leigha Wangler and family, and many more cousins and friends too numerous to name. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Heinz, Gringo the dogs and Britches the cat.
