He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Menzo and Olga Lydia Carter (Dehning); his sister Ronna Kinder; and his brothers-in-law, Denny, Larry Enright, Fred Pierce and Bill Kinder.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Carter; his children, Scott Carter (Lorri) of Colville and Shelly Carter of Colville; his granddaughters, Kristi Bushnell (Jason) of Spokane and Angie Vaagen (Kurtis) of Colville; his great grandchildren, Carter, Bryce Bushnell, Kylee, Rilynn and Kellen Vaagen; and his sister Pat Laird (Ken) of Colville, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Colville Firefighters Association or the charity of one's choice.
