Diane Marie Kuhn Obituary

Diane Marie Kuhn, a longtime resident of the Kettle Falls and Orient, WA communities, passed away on July 23, 2018 in Colville, WA at the age of 62. Diane was born on August 8, 1955 in Colville, WA the daughter of Victor L. and Beverly Mae (Price) Daily. She was raised in Orient where she attended grade school. Diane then transferred to Kettle Falls High School and graduated in 1973.

After high school she spent several years in Western Washington where she began a family with the birth of her daughter, Amber. In 1994, Diane and Amber returned to Orient. Diane had always focused her attention toward the needs of others which led to her work as an adult caregiver in her later years. Her increasing health challenges required she retire due to a reduction of mobility.

For the past 3 years, Diane has needed the special care offered through skilled nursing which she has received as a resident of Pinewood Terrace Nursing home. She enjoyed spending much of her time making arts and crafts. Her creativity stretched from drawing and paintings to pottery. Diane's care for others was wide reaching and extended into the way in which she favored her pet chickens.

She also had a soft spot for elephants and collected a wide variety of elephant figurines over the years. She hoped to grant a smile to those around her and savored her time with family and friends. Diane is survived by her daughter, Amber Reed of Orient; parents, Vic and Bev Daily of Orient; her brothers, Danny Daily of Orient, Joe Daily of Orient, Craig Daily and his wife, Julie of Kettle Falls; two nieces and one nephew.

A memorial service for Diane M. Kuhn will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Barstow Grange in Barstow, WA. She will be laid to rest beside her family at the Orient Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is entrusted with the arrangements.
