He is survived by: his children, Stewart Wilson Shankel III (Helen), Theodore Lee and Martha Nell; his wife Joy Shankel; his children, Jeffery Shankel and Marti Ward (Bill); his daughter-in-law Tami Shankel; his grandchildren, Jaci Nash (Craig), Matt Shankel, Katie Shankel, Lauren Shockey (Tyler), Stewart Shankel IV and Garrett Shankel; and his brother Clinton Shankel (Mabel).
