It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Avila (College Place, Washington), born in Gering, Nebraska, who passed away on March 20, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joe Escamilla, Sr. and Rita Susana Sabala; her spouse David Avila Sr.; her children, David Avila Jr., Solomon, Carol and Diana Ghaffari, MD (Sid); and her siblings, Victoria, Bernice, Samuel and Daniel. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
