He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hollenbaugh and Frankie Hollenbaugh; his wife Carole Wood Hollenbaugh; his brother Frank Hollenbaugh; and his stepchildren, Teri George and Gary Milligan.

He is survived by: his children, Troy Hollenbaugh, Marco Hollenbaugh, Donald Hollenbaugh Jr. and Jodi Gradwohl; his grandson Jason Fuller; and his siblings, Richard Hollenbaugh and Judy Hund. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
