He is survived by: his son Charles; his parents, Wacifundo and Africa; his sons, James Edwards (Vicky Waters) and Robert Edwards; his sister Alice Princess Msumba Siwundhla; his grandchildren, Herbert (Eunduk Choi), James II, Marissa Williams (Kris) and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Davidson, Macie Davidson, Sofie Edwards and Magnus Edwards. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
