Velda Zae Sheer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Velda Zae Sheer of Colfax, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirk McCall and Nora McCall; her husband Joe Sheer; her children, Philip Haxton and Vickie Thompson; and her brothers, Gerald, Norman, Orlo, Verle, Kirk and Bob McCall.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Lennon (Tom) of Spokane; her children-in-law, Cory Thompson of Sandpoint, ID and Terre Haxton of Vancouver, WA; her stepchildren, Joeen Sheer of Sparks, NV, Darrene Sheer of Kauai, HI and Tom Sheer (Nancy) of Colfax, WA; her grandchildren, Dane Lennon of Seattle, WA, Amy McHorse (JT) of Spokane, WA and Michelle Repp of Coeur d'Alene, ID; and her stepgranddaughters, Mindy, Mandy, Jessica, Nicole and Sidney. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 801 S Vista Point Dr, Colfax, WA 99111.
The family requests that memorial donations in Velda's honor be made to Plymouth Congregational Church in Colfax, WA, or the Whitman Hospital Foundation.
