With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Henderson of Colfax, Washington, born in Omak, Washington, who passed away on July 25, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Henderson and Ruth Henderson; his wife Jackie; and his brothers, Donald and Michael Henderson.

He is survived by: his close friend John Deere; his sister Pat Bailey; his children, Phil Henderson (Barbara) of Colfax and Jolynn Duncan (Mike) of Hayden Lake; his grandchildren, Destry Henderson (Jodi), Chappell Henderson Smith (Cory), Heather Duncan Lehman (Michael) and Holly Duncan Abeel (Jesse); and his great grandchildren, Eleanor Henderson, Logan, Chace Smith, Elias Lehman, Hudson and Judah Abeel.

“To the Henderson Family, Take comfort in knowing your dad, brother, & grandfather was highly thought of. As a dorm friend of Jolynn’s our freshman year at WSU, we were introduced to her dad Joe. The Henderson hostessed us at a pool party & BBQ on Prune Orchard Road that’ll not ever be forgotten. We were shuttled to & from by Joe.. There were ski trips to Mt. Spokane too. Joe always kept us safe. Eternal Rest Be Granted Unto Him! Laura (Buchanan) True”

“Joe was a wonderful man and friend. We remember the day we met Joe when he drove up our driveway in his station wagon when we first moved here and introduced himself as the mayor of prune orchard rd. We have been friends ever since then. We have visited and gone on outings with Joe and his sister Pat. We were very blessed to have Joe in our lives. He volunteered himself to be our kids grandpa. He always was and we will miss him terribly. Love to his entire family”
