He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon Askins and Anise Askins (Brantner); his sister-in-law Jeanette Askins; his nephew John Weldon Askins; and his friend George Decker (Bud).
He is survived by: his wife Connie Ham; his daughters, Deanna Askins and Aquella Lovejoy (Askins); his siblings, James Askins and Connie Jennings (Gary); his stepsons, Ryan Ham (Emily) and Aaron Ham; his daughter-in-law Lisa Askins; his nieces, Nikki Corbeill (Craig), Tina Taylor (Bob), Pam Shawver, Kadie Stanaway (John Burnett), Breeann Schlegel (Joel) and Shanaya Boggs (Wyatt); his nephew Nathan Medutis (Lynn Moser); his grandchildren, Mikaila Martin, Cassie Braun (Justin), Trapper Askins (Heidi), Jaedan Askins and Sawyer Ham; and his great grandchild Jordan Martin.
