He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett R. Magrath and Ethel M. Vaughan Magrath; and his wife Shirley Eileen Brannan. He is survived by: his children, Tom Magrath (Sue) of Spokane, Karen Etten (Fred) of Spokane and Jim Magrath (Shelle) of Phoenix; his grandchildren, Megan Magrath, Brian Magrath (Kelly), Rachel Penny (Matt), Nicole Martin (Zach), Nickolas Etten (Breanna) and Jake Magrath (Emily); his great grandchildren, Payton, Cullen, Liam and Aidan; and his sister-in-law Helga Dyck (Frank Lepus).

In the days immediately following Shirley's passing, he contracted and recovered from covid pneumonia and had a cancerous kidney removed.

Memorial gifts in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated.
