She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Rick and Trella Rick (Higginbotham); her husband Keith Hamilton; her close friend Milt Styner; her siblings, Viola Gau and John C. Rick; and her sons-in-law, Donald "Cougar" Osmonovich and Michael "Mickey" Meehan.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Hamilton (Marcia) of Lake Cushman, Washington, Janice Osmonovich of Cle Elum, Annie Oord (Don) of Yakima and Teresa Meehan of Cle Elum; her grandchildren, Mundi Hamilton, Daniel Teison, Elizabeth Teison, Eugene Rockefeller, Bill Barnes, Edward Oord (Jennifer), Jennifer Thornton (Patrick) and Philip Meehan (Dana); and her close friend Donna Henkel. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in Lavada's honor are suggested to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cle Elum or to the Easton Fire Department.
