“Dear John's family, my name is Mark Douty. I am so sorry for your loss. John was an awesome individual. I first met him in Spokane in 1976 at a Willie Nelson concert! We would become good friends, roommates and co-roadies with the Stone Johnny Mountain Band! Later the best man at each other's wedding. When I moved to Long Beach, WA John came to visit. When he moved to Arizona I went to visit. When he returned to Spokane we visited several times. I will miss him very much.”
