He was predeceased by: his parents, Clownie Thompson and Elma Thompson (Butler); his siblings, Julia "Betty" Thornburg, Bill Thompson, Tom Thompson, Ike Thompson, Harold Thompson and Ross Thompson; and his grandson Brody Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Susie; and his children, Genny Brown (Todd), Ivan Thompson (Melody), Walter Thompson (Misty), Devin Thompson and Perry Thompson (Polly). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elite Foundation, 1370 Bridge St., Clarkston, WA 99403, the hospice service that provided care for Joe.
