It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kareen Butorac of Chewelah, Washington, born in Gooding, Idaho, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fred Krahn (Mary) and Hazel Krahn (Prince); her siblings, Blanche and Ford; her former husband Edward Payne, Sr.; her husband Michael Butorac; her brothers, Roger and Owen Krahn; her grandson Cody Payne; her siblings, Cleora Violet Poe, Roaena Howard, Ann Moore (Mike), Duane "Butch" Krahn (Nola), Craig Krahn (Dee), Freddie Lee Krahn (Nancy) and Jerry Krahn; her children, Melodie Young (Clay), Lester Payne (Ruth) and Allen Payne (Tamara); her stepson John Butorac (Connie); and her close friend Carole Reinland. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.
