He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Smith and Julia Smith; his wife Irma Lee Manley; his siblings, Ralph, Keith, Mildred and Theresa; his niece Melanie; and his son Kerry.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Kathy), Duane (Doris) and Kevin (Stella); and his daughter-in-law Diane Smith. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oregon Right to Life or St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hubbard.
