She was predeceased by: her father Robert R. Nix; her son David Jeffery Ghere; her siblings, Ruth Nix, Barbara Nix and John Nix; and her mother Alma Nix.

She is survived by: her sons, Brian Douglas Ghere and James Alan Ghere; her former husband David P. Ghere; and her brothers, Robert R. Nix, Jr. and James. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
