He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred S. Bennett and Mary Ann Bennett; and his brother Alfred Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Lila Ward; his sisters, Colleen Larsen and Ruth Ann Vreeken; and his children, Tim Bennett (Mary), Kimberly Knight (Nighthawk), Theresa Biaggi (Mike), David Bennett (Joy), Carrie Kauhi (Kalani) and Jaidyn Bennett. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
