He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Nye (Coons) and George Nye; and his brothers, Bill and Tom Nye. He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Wells (George) of Breezy Point, MN, Richard Nye (Annalise) of Shoreline, WA and Scott Nye (Laura) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; his grandchildren, Annika, Taylor, Karsten, Kaare, Matthew and Joshua; his siblings, Adeline Lapa (David), George Nye (Barbara) and Joseph Nye; and his close friends, Crystal and Spence.
