She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Kaus and Edith Kaus; and her husband Virgil Garland Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Obi, Denice Garland, Elesia Chandler and Sylvia Posey. She is also survived by Nine Grandchildren and many Greatgrandchildren.
