He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles West and Carrie West of Boistfort, WA; his former wife Lorraine Moore West; his wife Helen Tobin West; his son Lynn West; his stepson Tim Tobin; his siblings, Delbert West and Betty Burkhalter; and his granddaughter Brigitte Ellen.

He is survived by: his siblings, LeRoy and Joyce; his children, Meliah Looney Bamford (Harvey), Roger West, Becky Conners (Jim), Mark Tobin (Suzanne), Ron Tobin and Tami Kosloskie (Robert); his grandchildren, Jesse West (Kelley), Billy West, Rachel Looney Tauscher (Dennis), Jacob Looney, Beka Looney Foglesong (Chad), Abby Looney, Blosl (Spencer), Christopher Conners, William Duckworth, Benjamin Tobin, Courtney Tobin, Brad Tobin and Lindsey Leitner; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Lusk, Gunner West, Gage West, JoLynn West, Samuel Tauscher, Haley Tauscher, Anna Tauscher, Grace Tauscher, Emma Tauscher, Carley Foglesong, Kennedy Foglesong, Paisley Foglesong, Hazel Mae Blosl, Cosima Oreamuno and Blosl.
