He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Helling and Ella Helling (Schaefer); and his siblings, Cornelius, Ralph, Elnora and Pauline.
He is survived by: his wife Velma; and his sons, Michael, Dennis (Janette), Kenneth (Kari) and Donald (Sonia). He is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph's School in Chehalis or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
