He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barnett and Marion Barnett (Plumb); and his sisters, Elaine and Gladys. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his son Dan Barnett (Heidi) of Litchfield Park, AZ; his grandchildren, Garen Barnett (Jessica) of Selah, Riley Barnett of Mesa, AZ and Haley Barnett of Selah; his great grandchildren, Mason and Landon Barnett of Selah; and his sister Myrt Jackson of East Wenatchee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
