It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlene McLees of Camano Island, Washington, born in De Smet, South Dakota, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Ward and Edith Ward; her husband Don; her daughter-in-law Christine McLees; her sister Wilma Powell; her pet Chica; her children, Cindy (Eric) of Mesa, AZ, Arjay of Hemet, CA, Jim (Joanna) of Northfield, MN and Cheryl (Randy) of Scappoose, OR; and her siblings, Georgene Torgramsen (Al) of Renton, WA and Harlen Ward (Nancy) of Federal Way, WA.. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Marlene's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Camano Animal Shelter Association, the non-profit organization where Marlene adopted her puppy Chica.
