He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Cunningham, and Joseph Cunningham, Sr.; his brother Don Bergstrom; his wife Katherine "Kathy" Lotzgesell Cunningham; his daughter Shannon Meyer; his grandson Will Meyer; his daughters, Wynton Meyer, Kellan Alexander (Clark Rowe), Jagger Alexander and Quinn Rowe; and his grandchild Myla Rezaeirad.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Joe's name to the Rock Steady Parkinson's Non-Contact Boxing Program, to which Joe was referred by the VA upon his initial diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease, which was a direct result of exposure to Agent Orange during his time of service in Vietnam.
