Mary Koopmans Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2025, at the age of 90, Mary Koopmans of Burlington, Washington passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldert Schaap and Fetske Schaap (Mulder); her husband Ray Koopmans; and her sisters, Joukje and Tina.
She is survived by: her sister Janice Bakker (Friesland) of Berlikum; and her children, John Koopmans (Bev), Ed Koopmans (Kayla), Sid Koopmans (Josie), Frances Erhardt (Darren), Evie Bates (Kevin), Irene Darnell and Teresa Vander Pol (Brent). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park (1825 E College Way, Mount Vernon, WA 98273). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Reformed Church of Mount Vernon.
