He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsa Ackermann and Andrew Ackermann; his son Henry; his daughter-in-law Sienne (Tim); and his siblings, Gip, Lydia, Sarah, Luella, Elizabeth, Wilma, Esther and Rachel.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry; and his children, Candie Vanderpol (Larry), Greg Ackermann (Tish), Tim Ackermann, Evan Ackermann (Susan) and Kurt Ackermann (Karen). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
