It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mae (Freese) Ames Dowda (Burien, Washington), born in Buffalo, Wyoming, who passed away on May 28, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Merrill and Myrle Irene Freese; and her children, Perry Ames (Kathleen), Merrill Ames (Dana), Nicole Petersen (Dennis), David Ames (Kim), Taylor Allen, Cody Ames (Brenda), Vie Anna Kulesza (Kurt), Ron and Lynne. She was also cherished by married at age 17 and had seven children, her last child.
