He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Kleinbrook and Betty May Kleinbrook; his stepmother Vera Kleinbrook; his former wife Carol Swedlund of Winner, SD; his stepchildren, Dawn Renee (Early) of Renton, Rick Edward of Everett and Nicole Marie (Diaz) of Sumner; his wife Claudia Kleinbrook; his granddaughters, Jordan, Ashley, Samantha, Kristina and Sofia; and his siblings, Carrol Ann Schroeder, Cheryl Greenwood, Tracy Hall, Candace Douglass and Kurt Kleinbrook.

Larry was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Buckley and practiced his faith with daily devotions, regular church attendance, and contributions to the church and community until his death.
