He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Schlegel and Otillia Schlegel; his wives, Joan Schlegel (Chandler) and Ethel (Riggs); and his siblings, Joe, Fred Schlegel and Marie Godsil.
He is survived by: his sister Stella Smedley (Dayton); and his children, Stephen Schlegel (Ginger), Theresa Blodgett (Ed), David Schlegel (Linda), Rita Carroll (Jerry) and Jim Schlegel (Lee Ann). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Saint Vincent De Paul food Bank.
