He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Courtney and Erma Courtney; and his brother Lawrence Courtney. He is survived by: his wife Karen L Courtney; his siblings, Carmela Courtney, Patrick Courtney, Karen J Courtney, Daniel Courtney and Paul Courtney; his children, Harley Courtney, K. C. Courtney-Rozsonits, Kelli Courtney-Sater and Sawyer Courtney; and his stepsons, David Perry and Travis Browe. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
