He was predeceased by: his brother Steven Gerard Gillenwaters. He is survived by: his parents, William Elliott Gillenwaters and Marylou Smutny-Vonsee Gillenwaters of Chesapeake; his wife Miranda; his daughters, Alexandra, Catherine and Christian; his stepsons, Ryan, Jarrett and Braden; his granddaughter Maya; and his mother-in-law Diane.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (3501 Cedar Ln, Portsmouth, VA 23703). A reception will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
