He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus Smith and Berneda Smith (Uphoff). He is survived by: his wife Alane Smith of Bremerton; his sons, Joshua Kjellberg of Eureka, Neil Fox of Minneapolis, Minn and Benjamin Smith of Bakersfield, Calif.; his sister Valerie Bussell (Jeffrey); his aunt Mary; and his cousin Merrylee Mullinax. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
