He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Scott Lovett and Barbara. He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth "Betty" Poliakevich (Hancock); his grandchildren, Stephen (Teresa), Kayla, Emily, Jim (Cheryl), Bryce, Grant, Cody, Rebecca McAfee (Patrick), Arianna, Robert, Callia, Ian and Mary Lovett; and his siblings, Don Lovett (Glenda), Sandra Walp, Carol Coats (Bill) and Gordon "Gordy" Lovett (Karin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to organizations supporting Parkinson's research.
