It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald A. Copes (Bonney Lake, Washington), born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie P. Bailey (Copes) and Aelix A. Copes; his stepfather Kenneth Bailey Sr.; his sister Catherine Heath; his brother-in-law Zephaniah Heath; and his sister Glenda Reed.

He is survived by: his wife Melva Copes of Washington; his children, Tia Davis, Ronald A. Copes II and Rodney A. Copes (Florence); and his siblings, Paul Copes (Barbara), Cynthia Copes-Carr (James), Gloria King (James), Jeanette Bailey-Spence, Karen Bailey Addison (Mikie), Kenneth Bailey (Edna), Rickie Bailey, Michael Bailey (Lenora), Mark Bailey (Rosa), Nadine Bailey and Norman Bailey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Ronald A. Copes Scholarship fund.
