He is survived by: his wife Shirley Carmichael; his daughters, Ellyn Clee (Jason) and Ariel Carmichael (Brian); his stepchildren, Chris Ianuzzi, Anthony Ianuzzi and Cori Ianuzzi; his daughter-in-law Tammy Dineen (John); his grandchildren, Courtney Volk (Jason), Joel Gray (Caitlin) and Jana Clee; his great grandchildren, Haley Gray and Kendall Gray; his mother Dorothy Carmichael; and his sisters, Sue Hatchell (Mark), Mary Thompson (Jim) and Laura Bozeman (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Tacoma Community College.
